MATERIALS

With REFIBRA™ technology, we recycle cotton waste, mix it with wood pulp, and produce TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers. This innovative process reduces waste and creates high-quality, more sustainable fabrics.

Organic cotton produces 18% fewer emissions, protects soil, and promotes biodiversity. Healthier and more resilient, it is a step toward a more sustainable future.

Recycled cotton saves water and reduces waste. The resource-efficient process transforms textile scraps into new materials that are stylish and more sustainable.

Our denim with a yellow selvage is GOTS approved and made from organic cotton and woven on old looms. This process creates a uniquely textured, authentic surface, highlighted by the distinctive yellow selvage.

More about our production
Water Consumption & Wastewater Pollution: The production of conventional jeans consumes a lot of water during dyeing and washing. while waste water is potentially polluted by harmful chemicals. → We work with GOTS-approved partners who use less water and no hazardous chemicals in their production processes for us.
Conventional bleaching processes use harmful chemicals – often under unacceptable working conditions. → Instead of toxic chlorine and harmful potassium permanganate, we rely on modern techniques like laser or ozone treatment.
Our heritage: replacing conventional cotton with organic cotton. Cultivated with healthier soils and biodiversity in mind – and without synthetic pesticides. → For fresh fibers, we use only certified cotton.
As part of our goal to keep the carbon footprint of our products as low as possible, we continue to evolve. And we have found a companion for organic cotton: recycled cotton. Recycled cotton has a lower climate impact than new cotton. We give existing materials a new purpose: instead of growing and processing new cotton, recycling requires less energy. Additionally, recycled cotton has a lower impact on other resources such as water and land use.
Two types of recycled cotton are used:
Post-consumer recycled cotton, meaning cotton from products that have already been in circulation.
Pre-consumer recycled cotton, such as production leftovers like fabric scraps.
Our skin is our largest organ.
When we sweat, our skin not only expels toxins but can also absorb substances. That’s why we should carefully consider which textiles we allow to come into contact with our skin.
Chemicals themselves are not the problem – they are everywhere. The real issue is harmful, avoidable chemicals and the often irresponsible way they are used. Did you know that conventional jeans production still involves various harmful chemicals? Some substances, such as certain heavy metals, are used to ensure that cheap dyes remain colorfast.
Have you ever held a pair of jeans that smelled strongly? If so, trust your nose. That smell often comes from chlorine residues in the fabric, which remain if jeans are not properly rinsed after bleaching.
If you sweat while wearing such jeans, these chlorine residues can cause skin irritation and even allergies.
→ We bleach our denim completely chlorine-free. Trust us – your skin will thank you.
Have you ever wondered where our jeans come from?
Our denim suppliers are located in two places: Tunisia and Turkey. Here you can find more information about them.
DENIM VILLAGE / SUGLOBAL TEKSTIL:
Our producer, Denim Village, manufactures our jeans and jean shorts in Turkey. Only GOTS-approved chemicals are used. Additionally, modern techniques are promoted to reduce water consumption.
DENIM AUTHORITY S.A.:
One of our denim specialists is Denim Authority in Tunisia. Instead of using toxic chlorine and potassium permanganate, only GOTS-approved and toxicologically tested chemicals are used for all denim products.
