Together for
Democracy

TO THE COLLECTION

The 2025 federal election in Germany is approaching – now is the time to stand up for democracy and values. With the ARMEDANGELS X EIKE KÖNIG Democracy Collection, we are making a statement for responsible voting decisions. 100% of the profits will be donated.

DON'T GHOST
THE VOTE

With this year's Solidarity Series, we aim to raise awareness of the importance of democracy and participation. Especially in this federal election, it is more crucial than ever to vote democratically. "Don’t ghost the Vote" is a call to action, a clear statement, and an active contribution.

Together with prominent support, we are making a statement: Jella Haase, Jasna Fritzi Bauer, Luisa-Céline Gaffron, Merlin Sandmeyer, Brix Schaumburg, Jonny Mahoro, and Gizem Emre stand behind this message.

▾ Who is Eike König?

Eike König is a renowned, internationally recognized artist, designer, and professor. He is the founder of the creative studio Hort in Berlin. Known for his conceptual and typography-driven design, he operates at the intersection of design and art. His works are often socially critical and experimental, earning him international recognition in the design scene. In addition to his work as a designer, König is also active as a lecturer and speaker.

▾ Why did you choose this design?

Eike: "Even in the past, social issues and conflicts were addressed using comic characters. Giving democracy—which is fundamentally a bodiless construct, constantly negotiated and therefore evolving—a figurative moment felt like a fitting translation."

▾ What are typical themes or motifs in your work?

Eike: "It is important to me to create inclusive rather than exclusive art, with the broadest possible interpretative scope. I find inspiration in the magical moments when I encounter something new or discover something unknown within the familiar."

▾ Why is the message ‘Don’t ghost the Vote’ so important?

Eike: "The right to vote is a fundamental right. Unfortunately, every unused vote strengthens the parties that would rather abolish democracy or manipulate it to the point where it becomes democracy in name only."

Questions & Answers

Participating in elections is a great responsibility and at the same time a great privilege. Everyone entitled to vote should (on 23 February) use their right to co-determination to contribute to democratic legitimacy, combat extremism and ensure justice and equality. By casting your vote, you will have an impact on crucial issues such as climate justice, human rights and social justice. These are important prerequisites for a stable and functioning democracy and a world we want to live in. Democracy thrives on an active civil society. If you don't vote, you leave the choice to others. This is why we say: don't ghost the vote!

100% of the profits will be donated to Cultures Interactive e.V. and HateAid, with the funds equally divided.
The political education initiative Cultures Interactive e.V. aims to convince young people of the core values of liberal democracy and provide them with an understanding of political contexts, empowering them to take an active and responsible role in shaping our democracy.
The organization HateAid advocates for the protection of digital freedom of expression and fights against online hate. It supports victims of digital violence through counseling, legal assistance, and public awareness campaigns. Its goal is to create a safe and democratic digital space where people can express themselves without fear of hostility.

For several years, ARMEDANGELS has dedicated the Solidarity Series to topics that deserve solidarity and societal attention. This year, we aim to raise awareness of the importance of democracy and participation. Especially in this federal election, it is more crucial than ever to vote democratically: "Don’t ghost the Vote." In the past, collaborations with organizations such as SOS Humanity and Sea-Watch have been launched to draw attention to social and political grievances and actively contribute to change. Each campaign aims to generate awareness for an issue while simultaneously raising funds for an initiative.

We are not here to make fashion. We are here to make change. ARMEDANGELS is a brand that firmly commits to taking responsibility for the environment and society. Our goal of creating the most responsible products possible inevitably brings us into contact with political issues such as climate change and social justice. By taking a political stance, we aim to raise awareness of global challenges and have a positive impact on society and politics.
